I originally started doing research on Electric vehicles and the new wave or trend of them for another business class. I found it very interesting and came across many articles about electric trucks

America loves trucks so it only seemed right for companies to make electric trucks. Rivivan and Ford are the top competitors for this. Ford is one of the biggest car companies in the United states, and making a change over to an electric truck has caused an uproar. The F-150 lighting came out on April 26th 2022. Ford has been advertising this truck for awhile now and had over 200,000 pre orders of this truck. These advertisements obviously work but I also believe that Ford knew that this believed fan favorite truck would cause some controversial conversations which got the word to mouth aspect of their marketing strategy.

Ford's advertising for this truck was somewhat different than before. They took a traditional route showing off their employees, teamwork and family based structures. I believe they did this because of the huge turning point this is for ford. Turing into an electric car company can be tough and a lot of loyal customers were upset, so these advertisements ways to ease the consumers into this idea showing that they are still the same ford.

They also took to social media. Personally I saw this everywhere I looked. Everyone was talking about the release of this lighting truck, and after the release date there were thousands of people reviewing the truck giving Ford free advertisement.

Overall these marketing strategies ford was using and still are amazing and work wonderfully.
